Going all in with Dirk Czepluch

Shownotes

From intern to CEO in only 10 years. Sounds crazy? But it`s in fact the career path of Dirk Czepluch. He is head of ipoque, a Rohde & Schwarz company, that is a global leader in the world of deep packet inspection and network analytics software.

He speaks about entrepreneurship, his first impressions of R&S, and the fact that - according to him - taking risks is even part of his personality. But what impact does this have on his style of working? What exactly does going “all-in” mean to him? And how does he handle it, when taking a risk doesn`t pay off?

Dirk takes us back in time. He tells us about his time in school and how he always had a talent for math, which still helps him solve the daily challenges that come with his job. But as a leader having technical skills is not enough and Dirk had to learn soft skills the hard way. Even then his math skills were quite helpful.

In his opinion, as a CEO you don`t have to do it all by yourself but you are still always responsible. So how does he decide which topics can be delegated and how projects are prioritized?

This and much more is all part of the episode “Going all in with Dirk Czepluch".

"People behind technology" takes you behind the scenes at Rohde & Schwarz and focuses on the people who drive future-relevant technologies forward. In season three “Be entrepreneurial – Insights from the R&S management”, our hosts Max and Lorena talk to members of the R&S top management about what entrepreneurship means and how everyone can act “entrepreneurial”, a value that has always been part of our DNA as a privately-owned company.
